As a dispensary in Oklahoma, it's important to understand how to add a caregiver and/or patient to a cannabis sale to ensure compliance with the state's regulations. This guide will provide step-by-step instructions for conducting a caregiver sale and attaching a caregiver-patient so your business can maintain compliance efficiently and easily.
Caregiver sales in Oklahoma must have both a caregiver license number and a patient license number attached to the sale. As such, we have created a new customer type of “caregiver-patient” that can be created under the caregiver’s profile and attached at the time of sale.
▪ The ability to conduct a sale with a caregiver is available in KlickTrack versions 2.20.16 and higher.
Attaching a caregiver to a sale
-
Log in to the KlickTrack register
-
Add the desired products to the cart
-
Add the customer to the cart
-
Click “Total”
-
A modal will pop up with the list of caregiver-patients associated with the caregiver. Select the caregiver-patient that needs to be associated with the sale.
-
Click “Save” to be taken to the payment method screen to complete the transaction.
Please note that because caregiver-patients are attached to a caregiver profile, only the caregiver will earn loyalty points on a sale. Additionally, caregiver-patients are not searchable in the customer database.
